Vortex Optics’ 4-12×40 Diamondback Tactical Riflescope is a versatile riflescope featuring durable construction, high-quality optics, a zoom eyepiece, and the Vortex-exclusive VMR-1 reticle. The reticle lies in the 2nd focal plane and offers a modified duplex style. The markings on the horizontal and lower-vertical axes aid in ranging and ballistic and wind compensation. The optical system produces crisp and clear images with accurate color representation by utilizing Extra-Low Dispersion (XD) glass and Vortex’s proprietary XR optical coatings. While the XD glass corrects color and image distortions on the periphery of the field of view, the anti-reflective XR coatings increase transmission of light and reduce glare.
